Small Groups

We have small groups that meet in homes at different times during the month. Expect great conversation, inspiration, and opportunities to learn new things. Our small groups are laid back, so bring yourself and your sense of humor and join the fun! Contact us for more information.

Kid’s Beginning Bell Choir, Advanced Bell and Vocal Choirs

The Children’s Bell and Vocal Choir practices on the 2nd. and 4th. Sunday of the month from 12:00-2:00 pm. Lunch is provided for the children at the Rise of Worship. The Bell Choir teaches the basics of music through the use of colored bells. Children as young as three years old are provided an opportunity to share Christ’s love through music. The bell choir occasionally performs during the Worship Services. Please call the church office if you are interested in having your child participate in the bell or vocal choir.

Adult Vocal Choir

The First Friends Meeting adult choir is a traditional choir that sings an anthem each Sunday from September thru May, then takes the summer off. Special music is encouraged from whoever would like to “showcase” their talents and share them with the meeting. We practice on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. This is an all-volunteer choir (meaning NO try-outs), with members ages from 20 to 80. We do a variety of styles of music and try to focus on “worshipful” music. Anyone who loves to sing is encouraged to join us.

First Friends Ringers

First Friends Ringers is a small instrumental praise group. We have 3 octaves of handbells & chimes, and we have been participating in the Kokomo Handbell Festival for the last 10 years. We practice once a week on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., for one hour. We ring, we laugh, we have fellowship, AND we sometimes even learn something! New members are always encouraged (especially men, to play the large bells), and experience or music knowledge is not necessary.

Prayer Gathering

The Tuesday Prayer Gathering meets at 10:00 AM each Tuesday in the Fireside Room. The gathering offers space for teaching and the discipline of praying for people’s needs. All are welcomed in this holy privilege. Please contact the office if you would like more information about the prayer gathering.
